The Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal is home to the Interuniversity Research and Creation Cluster • Music and Societies (RCMS), a strategic network bringing together researchers and creators from Québec’s higher education institutions and professional communities.

Rooted in the Faculty of Music, the RCMS fosters interdisciplinary research and dialogue between artistic practices and scholarly inquiry through four main areas: musical practices; music, cultures, and societies; the music ecosystem; and music, health, and well-being.

The RCMS succeeds the Observatoire interdisciplinaire de création et de recherche en musique (OICRM), carrying forward its legacy while opening new perspectives.
