Why study abroad?

Besides exchange programs, a number of formulas for mobility outside Québec are offered to Université de Montréal students, including research studies, internships, intensive courses and jointly supervised doctorates.

Why study abroad?

  • Expand your network internationally
  • Enrich your university experience by integrating courses taken abroad into your academic journey
  • Discover a new academic environment and different pedagogical approaches
  • Spend time at a foreign institution during your schooling, while paying tuition only to Université de Montréal (study period)
  • Discover a new culture, a new country
  • Improve another language
  • Grow and develop greater independence and increased self-confidence

Conditions for participation

  • First, to be an exchange student as part of your study program at the Faculty of Music, make sure that a partnership exists between the partner institution abroad and Université de Montréal. You’ll find the list of agreements here.
  • Next, find information about conditions for participation in the exchange program by carefully reading the section devoted to student exchanges on the UdeM international website.
  • Consult the possible mobility grant offers for financing such a project.
