With our guidance, you select experiences that interest you so that you can shape your academic career in your own way. These may consist of a session abroad, a conference, a research internship during the summer, an involvement in a community organization, a social project in a project course, and so on.

Research and creative research: Add to your experiences not only in the scientific or academic community and the private sector, but within public institutions as well. You can take part in research projects and familiarize yourself with the methodologies of your area of training. Possibility of doing a creative project, based on their practice and their instrument, including a social, environmental or other dimension.

Community: Carry out field experiments in different community settings. You will thus get to participate, for short periods, in the activities of a variety of organizations in order to support them in the fulfilment of their mission.

International: Discover other countries, cultures or languages. Here you get to experience different types of mobility (exchange programs, training outside UdeM, research stays, internationalization activities on campus, and so on) or take part in a project in which the international component plays an important role.

To be eligible, you must:

• be in a Faculty of Music bachelor’s or major program (with the intention of bachelor's degree by accumulating certificates), in your first or second year of study.
• be enrolled fulltime for the entire duration of the program undertaken.
• maintain a minimum cumulative average of 2.7 / 4.3 at the end of your schooling.

To get the RECI badge at the end of your undergraduate studies, you must have completed a minimum of 3 different RECI experiences of at least 45 hours each (the equivalent of 1 university credit),* subject to the following rules:

• Minimum of 1, maximum of 2 non-contributory extracurricular RECI experiences.
• Minimum of 1, maximum of 2 contributory RECI experiences.
• Experiments within two components, minimum.

*The experiences will have to be validated with a responsible person at the university.

• Head of the RECI curriculum at the Faculty of Music (Jean-Michaël Lavoie): He sees to coordination of the RECI project at the Faculty, and he authorizes your activities and experiences outside the university as well as curriculum validation for each participant.
  
  
• Student success advisor: She/ he sees to your enrolment in the RECI curriculum and the choice of available activities.
  
  
• Head of internships outside Québec (Francis Perron): He sees to the validation of contracts and exchange experiences outside Québec.
  
  
• International mobility coordinator (Mélissa Levasseur-Dupuis): She sees to your enrolment and/or your curriculum in different international activities.
  
  
• Course and internship heads: They are responsible for the evaluation process concerning your activities and ultimately validate the completion of the experiential learning curricula.

• Head of the LUMI-dans-les-quartiers project (Nathalie Jolicoeur): She oversees the project directly with the Faculty of Music, as well as being a teacher.
  
  
• Coordinator of the LUMI-dans-les-quartiers project (Marie Dubois): She sees to the progress of the project at the administrative level.
  
  
• Teaching specialist for the LUMI-dans-les-quartiers project (Leïla Saurel): She sees to the content of the training and workshops offered as part of the project.
