Since 1977, Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt has headed the Université de Montréal Faculty of Music’s pianist‒chamber musician class. The Ensemble de claviers has presented many concerts, including the current series “Les chambristes stupéfiants!,” held for the most part at Salle Claude-Champagne. There are multiple formations, ranging from piano duo to quartet, and on occasion even more.

The Ensemble collaborates regularly with other of the Faculty’s instrumental and vocal formations, while over time the class has built quite a reputation, with many graduate duettists today enjoying brilliant careers on the national and international scenes.
